Triggs
Joshua Mosiajah Ramell Prawl (born June 15, 1992), best known by his stage name Triggs, is an
American rapper, songwriter, producer, director, and actor. Born in Long island, New York, and
raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Triggs began playing the drums at the early age of two. Triggs grew up
living next door to Chuck D of Public Enemy. At the age of seven, Triggs recorded his first rap song
on a cassette tape while sitting in his closet; shortly after that, he began making his own beats on FL
Studio. Triggs began recording his own music on his computer in his room while using headphones
as a microphone.
In middle school, he formed a rap group called GMB (Get Money Boyz) and Triggs was the
youngest in the group and also the CEO. He began taking his career seriously in 2008 when he
began his first high school tour performing at local schools around Atlanta, GA and Long Island, NY
along with his group GMB (Get Money Boyz).
In 2012, Triggs announced his solo career and made his first television appearance on MTV. Triggs
gained worldwide attention in 2019 from his single “Girls Girls Girls” featuring Snoop Dogg, who also
signed Triggs to his new label Doggystyle South.
Triggs later joined Snoop Dogg on his Puff Puff Pass Tour, Snoop Dogg and Friends Tour, and I
Wanna Thank Me Tour (2019-2020). During the same time, Triggs was coaching a youth football
team out of Cobb County, GA.
In 2019, Triggs released a single called “Southwest Connection” collaborating with artists kurupt
and Crooked I. In 2020, he collaborated with Xzibit on a single called & "Your Time" set to be released
in 2021.
